Day 1

Day 1 Marmaris

Welcome to Marmaris gulet cruise. Guests can board their yacht in mid-afternoon in Marmaris. The charter yacht moves off the next day and stays in port overnight. Dinner is served on board, the first of many lovely meals over the next few days, but there is still time to see what Marmaris has to offer before setting sail. It will be busy; it always is during the many weeks of the season. With the days ahead likely to be quiet and relaxing on board your luxury charter, you my like to enjoy the busy streets and bars before returning to your yacht for a good night’s sleep.

Day 2

Day 2 Arap Island, Bozukkale (Lorima)

The next stop on your Turkish gulet boat is Arap Island. Islet Arap is the territory of Turkey. It is uninhabited, located between the Aegean and Mediterranean seas. From the beach, there is a rough path leading to the village of Tashlıca, about 3.5 km from the hotel. Here you will get a feel for the countryside that you will feel as you walk.

* The ancient city of Bozukkale (Lorima) dates back to the years BC. The nine towers of the fortress walls have a rectangular shape and, together with the castle, look very solid and well preserved. “Kale” means “spoiled”, so the name may be due to the absence of one side of the Castle. Bozukale was used by the British Navy as a shipyard many years ago. From here there are magnificent views of the Aegean Sea, and everyone can watch the yacht’s activities at sea. Its location has also made it a natural stopover for yachts sailing in the Aegean Sea. It is known that in 395 BC, the Athenian fleet under the command of Karori visited this port, and Demetrios, son of Antigonus, chose this port to prepare for an attack on Rhodes during the Cnidus War in 305 BC.

Day 3

Day 3 Bozburun

Bozburun, a small marina town located 45 km west of Marmaris, has established itself as a place to build quality wooden boats, yachts and gulet yachts. It is well known to sailors if not visited by others. However, the lovely winding road by the sea to Bozburun is a very enjoyable ride. It is not a destination for tourists looking for a great nightlife, but there are many compensations for visitors staying at its small hotels and guesthouses. There are restaurants on the seaside serving the freshest seafood.

Day 4

Day 4 Bay Benchik, Datca

Bencik Bay is a quiet and sheltered gulet destination. It is located directly opposite Selimiye on the Hisaronu side of the peninsula separating Hisaronu and Gokova bays. Datca is a city on the southern coast of the peninsula of the same name in southwestern Turkey. It is located about 75 km west of Marmaris and has become a popular destination for yachts heading south across the Aegean and then turning east or vice versa. The peninsula has many small bays, small farming and fishing villages, and beaches. It is famous for its tomatoes and olives, and despite the lack of greenery in some other parts of the Turquoise Coast, it is extremely fertile.

Day 6

Day 6 Rhodes Island

Rhodes, with its Old Town a UNESCO World Heritage site, is the largest of the Dodecanese and offers everything which you would need during your luxury yacht charter. There is a 200 kilometre coastline, a fascinating interior, good nightlife and plenty of history. It has been home to several ‘’civilisations’’ in its history and also to a former Ancient Wonder of the World though the Colossus was destroyed by an earthquake many centuries ago. The narrow streets of this walled Old Town can be crowded at times but worth visiting with the Palace of the Grand Master and the architecture of the Knights of St. John notable features.

Day 7

Day 7 Kadirga Harbor, Star Island (Nimara)

Kadirga Harbor is a beautiful bay just west of Marmaris and a great place to sail on a gulet. It is protected and awarded a blue flag for its wonderful waters.

* Yildiz island is a wonderful peninsula in Marmaris. There are several nice cafes and restaurants across the island. It is ideal for those interested in swimming and snorkelling. Even if you spend a whole day on the island you are unlikely to get bored especially if you enjoy walking in a lovely natural environment. The area will remind you of a small sea channel. History says that a captain sailing in this area on a stormy night, hit the rocky landscape because he thought that this was a sea channel. Since then, it has also been known as ‘’wrong channel.’’

Day 8

Day 8 Marmaris

The charter returns to the port where guests enjoy a great breakfast before finally returning to land. If you have a few days ashore before you finally return home, we recommend that you take some time to see what Marmaris and its surroundings have to offer. The natural environment is amazing; forests surround the slopes with a contrast between green and blue sea and sky, creating a wonderful setting. Thank you for choosing Kasme yachting for your gulet charter in Turkey.
